What materials are the display mounts made of?

We offer two basic options: steel or aluminum. Both have their advantages, depending on your needs.

Advantages of Aluminum Mounts:

  • Lightweight: Aluminum is about three times lighter than steel, making mounts easier to install and reducing strain on walls or ceilings.
  • Greater Flexibility: Aluminum is easier to work with than steel, allowing for more precise joints and mechanisms which is important, for example, in spring arms.
  • Attractive Design: Aluminum enables sleek, modern constructions with appealing finishes, ideal for visible mounts like TV carts.
  • More Sustainable: Aluminum is highly recyclable. Even during production, scraps and leftover material can be easily melted down and reused almost without loss.

Advantages of Steel Mounts:

  • Lower Cost: Steel is the more affordable material.
  • Higher Load Capacity: Steel can support more weight per cross-section and is more robust under heavy loads, such as large screens.
  • Vandalism/Theft Resistance: Steel is harder and therefore more difficult to damage.

What do I do if the display mount does not fit my screen?

No worries! If the monitor mount doesn’t fit your screen, first check your screen’s VESA standard and compare it with the mount’s specifications.

Many of our mounts come with various VESA adapters, making them compatible with a wide range of screen sizes and models.
